Lu Mejia (she/her) is a bilingual, professional dancer, journalist, writer, photographer and content editor from Colombia based in New York City.
She is a graduate from The New School with a BA in Culture and Media and a minor in Journalism+Design who is looking to make an impact and direct change through art, culture and emerging community spaces.
She is currently the Communications Coordinator at “Dancing Classrooms NYC” and Social Media and Communications Coordinator at “Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teens program”.
She’s worked closely with New York City based New Opera-Theatre and Music-Theatre producer, Beth Morrison Projects as their Marketing Assistant, and digital arts platform The Artists Forum as their Video and Graphics intern.
As a journalist, she has published written and visual work in Dancegeist magazine and WeTheKnow.
